The Kybalion. The Dao. Buddhism, Hinduism, Stoicism, Hermetic philosophy, and scriptures from religions around the world — tested against a real, ongoing life, not handed down as finished truth. Some of it holds. Some of it doesn't. My experiences, mental health, and adventures are all part of the record.

A test case.
I'm not telling you what ancient wisdom says, I'm comparing it to my life experiences and reporting what I see and feel about it. I study the Kybalion, the Dao, Buddhist and Hindu teaching, Stoic and Hermetic philosophy, and scriptures and codex from religions around the world — taken seriously enough to test against my real life, although not blindly enough to swallow whole. I am open and skeptical.
Right now that means recovery, and slowing down. Life has thrown me some recent challenges I am navigating. I am not the finished version of the man I want to be, this is the record of becoming that man, told alongside a lot of hard-won life lessons on the road, in adventure, and the work of staying true to myself.
